Fantastic stay in a beautiful location.

The hotel is large with two excellent pools. The staff were incredible and super friendly. Direct access onto the beach is also a great bonus.

The WiFi was unstable and weak. The pool also turned any white material yellow… but it did wash out in the laundry.

Beautiful resort on the beach!

A lovely resort right on the beach with incredibly kind staff and high end service! They take care of everything including trips to different island, stone town and the Jozani forest with good prices too!

The WiFi was a little slow so wouldn’t recommend got someone wanting to work remotely.

What was the highlight of Mwezi Boutique Resort

Really nice hotel with a beautiful pool but ok-good food and very expensive organized trips

Pros: The location, the hotel itself and the facilities are beautiful. You feel like in a paradise in the beautiful surroundings. You have access to two great pools and there are plenty of places to lounge in the sun or shade under an umbrella or the palm trees. The hotel looks better in real life than in the pictures. The beach is right next to the hotel, calm, with not a lot of seaweed compared to other beaches in Zanzibar when we were there. We stayed in La Luna rooms which were very comfortable. The staff were also very nice and helpful. We also enjoyed the dinner entertainment by the local dance group Moves Zanzibar, who were great!

Cons: We were very disappointed by the tours organised by the hotel, especially given the fact that they clearly suggest to book tours via them to ensure the quality of the tour and of course that comes with a higher price. We did 2 tours - one was their suggestion to do Blue Lagoon snorkelling. Although we had a very nice fisherman who took us on his boat, the snorkelling itself and things you see are really not that amazing. The second tour to Prison island and Stone Town was also a disappointment (for a high price). First, the taxi driver was driving extremely dangerously and we felt very unsafe. The tour guide we picked up along the way also seemed a bit confused as to what tour we are doing. He was not very enthusiastic nor knowledgeable, with very basic information given (if any). Despite them having asked if English tour is ok for us several times, the guide’s English was very mediocre. We also still had to pay extra for Prison Island admission. For the high price, no lunch (or even opportunity to have lunch) were included for a full day excursion. The breakfast staff could be quite slow/unresponsive in the mornings. Takes a long time until you get your order. Also, several times some breakfast options were already finished by 8-8.30am (even though the breakfast runs until 10).

The perfect place on Zanzibar

7 places in Tanzania, 4 places in Zanzibar and this was just the best. This laces have everything just go there. The pool was crazy big and good. Everything until the small details was perfect... I can write so many things...

The bed was crazy hard...just that...bit after you wake up you forget the bed.

A must go hotel in Jambiani

I loved everything, the staff is amazing,always trying to please you in the best way, thank you Benjamin, Mr.Black Mamba, Emannuel, Faidess, and all the other that I can't remember the name, you guys made our staying even better, the bungalows are just perfect, with this Africa feeling. Was a great experience.

What was the highlight of Mwezi Boutique Resort

Excellent hotel choice and it was perfect.

Mwezi Hotel in Jambiani, Zanzibar, was an excellent gateway! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel's location on the island's side offered a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. For stays of a week or more, I highly recommend renting a car to explore the island, as taxis can be expensive. For example, two taxi trips can cost as much as renting a car for the entire week. The hotel's breakfast was amazing, and the swimming pool was a highlight, open early morning till late night. However, note that there's a fee for staying at the hotel (around $6). Some additional tips for visitors: - Get Zanzibar tourism insurance - Eat at local restaurants for a nice date (not just the hotel) - Shop at local stores for snacks (more fun and affordable than supermarkets) - Plan your trip well to make the most of your stay - USD is widely accepted, make sure withdraw or USD bank account. - Check the terms and conditions for any additional fees Overall, Mwezi Hotel is a 5-star property that offers an amazing getaway. I highly recommend it!

Very comfy and beautiful. Staff is very attentive specially with kids. All sand, so amazing feeling. Nice pools and breakfast! Thematic dinner was lovely and worth it! Very clean and good internet! Would def come back Filtered/bottled water available

Very Good

Lovely all barefoot property. Perfectly kept grounds with nice relaxing pool area, direct access to a nice beach and most importantly super friendly staff. We really enjoyed our 4 days at Mwezi.

The regular rooms are extremely dark as there is no window. Also the food options are quite limited - but we still enjoyed ourselves.

This where a family with kids or a couple should go in Zanzibar.

Amassing staff and very good hotel. Jaqueline, Moheidine, Rahim, and Abdul just to mention a few amazing staff at the reception and the bar. Luka, the manager, is very friendly and accommodating in letting us to do early checkin, late checkout, and inside the first day breakfast. Thank you all.

Decent place for a couple days

Nice crepes, good spiced coffee for breakfast, enjoyed under a roof in a cozy restaurant upstairs, around receiption.

Boring, especially Lula or something sounding similar to it, where you are located if beachfront apartments are taken. It happens without your knowledge as all parts are on listed Booking.com under the same place name, so you don’t have a real choice. When beachfront are gone you just see only the far away from beach places, so you are booking without knowing other options. I would suggest sitting the listing so people are not confused while booking beachfront.
